The SVA Library is holding its 4th annual Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Thursday, March 19th! This year's edit-a-thon will be kicked off by a Women Artists of Color Collage workshop hosted by Colectiva Cósmica. 

When: Thursday, March 19th, 2020, 2:00 - 8:00pm
Where: SVA Library, 380 2nd Ave, 2nd Floor

  • Women Artists of Color Collage workshop from 2:00 - 4:00pm

  • Wikipedia training sessions at 4:30 and 6:30pm

  • Screenings of female filmmakers between training sessions

  • Drinks and light snacks provided!

  • Wikipedians on hand to answer your questions

  • Free and open to the public

Women Artists of Color Collage Workshop

In honor of Womens’ History month the SVA Library has invited Colectiva Cósmica to facilitate a collage workshop centering the work of women artists of color. Come learn about understudied women artists while making a collage you can take home! All materials will be provided including beautiful color print outs, textured papers, and more. 

What is an Edit-a-thon?

An Edit-a-thon is a community organized event that aims to teach folks how to edit, update, and add articles on Wikipedia. Less than 10% of contributors to Wikipedia identify as female. Art+Feminism is a campaign to improve coverage of cis and transgender women, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia.
